Bordner – Service Coordinator, Carlisle, PA Home Care. She is a wonderful, kind and understanding assistant. She has willingly helped to organize both the York and Carlisle offices, and spent hours traveling to and from both offices to help orient and train new employees. She has assisted in maintaining seamless provision of care at both branches, and because of her efforts both offices are blossoming. Thank you to Judy for a job well done. The York and Carlisle branches appreciate her energy and effort in helping to create successful teams. |

Thelma
Argo – HCA Decatur, IL Home Care We have all heard the saying, “Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stay these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” The U.S. Postal Service could learn a thing or two from Thelma. She has been an Addus employee for over 20 years, and works in one of our more rural areas. Thelma has not failed to service a client on her schedule. Research has only been able to go back to 1991, but not even one instance can be found of Thelma missing work. Another characteristic that makes Thelma outstanding is that she has never driven an automobile. She transports herself to her clients on a 3 wheeled bike. She goes to the grocery store, laundromat and pharmacy on her bike. Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, rain, snow, ice, extreme temperatures, nothing has stopped her! Thelma is amazing! |

Crowder – HCA Chicago, IL Home Care. The day after Christmas, Leslie was assigned a very difficult case. The client’s family was very skeptical about Addus and the services because the husband was bed bound with a feeding tube, paralysis, catheter and other challenging needs. To their pleasant surprise, they found Leslie to be an excellent HCA. The wife called the office a few weeks later to tell us that Leslie was the best Christmas gift they received. Leslie is tenacious and has a strong work ethic. The Chicago Office is very lucky to have her as an employee. |

Charleston, IL Home Care. Robert has a heart of gold, and goes above and beyond his job description on a daily basis to serve his clients. Robert is dependable and compassionate, and is determined to provide excellent care to his clients. One example of his kindness is on Thanksgiving Day 2007, he took time away from his family drove from Charleston to Mattoon, IL (approximately 100 miles) to take homemade Thanksgiving plates of food to his clients. He knew that they were going to be home alone and had no one to share the holiday with. The Charleston office is honored to have Robert at their branch. |
