Kullas, Reception and Office Assistant, Support Center I just love Wanda. It is truly upsetting if you call and Wanda is not there to answer the phone. She always knows who is at the office. I realize to many people this may just be doing her job, but she is always on top of things. I also like the fact that she knows my voice and calls me by my name. I am sure Wanda has bad days like everyone else, but she never shows it on the phone. Last year we came to the Support Center for training and Wanda was at the top of my list of people to meet. She truly provides wonderful customer service not only to our client’s calling in but to the employees of Addus. Wanda treats us like customers too. |

Martha
Granados – Home Care Aide, Riverside, CA Home Care Sometimes it takes a few HCAs to get just the right one for clients. We received a letter from a client stating that after two HCAs the third one was the charm. Martha was the charm. According to the client, no matter what the weather, Martha brings sunshine to their household with her infectious smile. She is smart, resourceful, and sensitive to others, kind, compassionate, articulate and dedicated to the client’s care. The client has complete faith in Martha. The client states, “She has freed me from my bed mentally. I have legs now. I would move heaven and earth to keep her in my life”. Addus is very fortunate to have such a caring employee. |

Kim Sligar |
Kim
Sligar – Home Care Aide, Marion IL Private Duty Kim is a new Addus employee since March 2008. In this short time, she has demonstrated a willingness to help as many people as she can. She has taken on new clients when often nobody else will! One of her clients is a 98 year old who lives alone. The client’s television set quit working. Kim knowing how important the television was to the client she did everything to try to fix it. But unfortunately it was permanently broken. The client became very distraught and upset, because the TV was her lifeline to the world. Kim realizing the client’s dependence on the TV, went home and took one of her spare TVs to the client. This is just one example of Kim’s caring nature. The Marion office would like to give Kim the recognition she deserves by nominating her to the National Employee of the Month Award. |

Sugey has been with Addus since 2003 and has many clients ranging from light house keeping to complete care. Each and every one of her clients say that she is like the daughter they never had. She takes her time to listen to her clients and their needs. They are completely satisfied with her work and can not wait for her next scheduled time to return. I have been with Addus for 10 years and I have seen hundreds of HCAs but never like Sugey. She is truly dedicated and very compassionate to her clients. |
