Kathie Barthelemy, Care Coordinator, Wheaton, IL Home Health The success of the Care Coordination program in the Wheaton office is due to the hard work, patience and dedication of Kathie Barthelemy. She has gone above and beyond for our clients and my office and field staff. If she is not in the office talking to my Service Coordinators about a client, she is on the phone with a client or client’s family, or out seeing a possible new client. She works with hospitals or rehab facilities checking on our clients; and if the client lives in an area that we do not service, she makes sure they get the help they need from another agency. The Wheaton office is lucky to have her on board. |

Glenda
Casey– Home Care Aide, Joliet, IL Home Care Glenda is an exceptional worker who has also been recently nominated for the 2nd Annual Caregiver Tribute Luncheon for the Alzheimer’s Association by Mary Jo Carroll a Case Manager. She was nominated for her efforts on behalf of one of our special clients who is living in deplorable conditions. It has been determined that the client, age 85, should be moved into supportive living. Glenda arranged transportation for the client to tour the supportive living center. In order to take the tour, the client was in need of shoes and Glenda purchased them out of her own funds. Glenda is truly concerned about the well being of the client. She cleans, does laundry and gives the client personal care. Whether Glenda wins or not, she should be honored by Addus for her special talent and giving personality. |

Debra
Cassady – Home Care Aide, O’Fallon, IL Home Care Addus is very lucky to have a caring HCA like Debra. She is dependable and will drive anywhere to service our clients at a moments notice. Debra recently lost one of her clients who was 85 years old. Debra developed a very close relationship with this client and felt a need to write a letter to her Addus Supervisor about the passing of the client. In Debra’s own words, “We lost this wonderful lady on August 1st, 2008. She was a sweet, loving soul who touched everyone she met. We can only hope that we can do the same thing with our lives. My life will never be the same. Thank you to everyone at Addus for making her life more comfortable and safe. Thank you Addus HealthCare for allowing me to be her helper and her friend.” |

I want to nominate Marco for being a positive influence to his clients. He gives them such great treatment when he is servicing them. Their health has improved dramatically since he started caring for them. He is flexible to his client’s needs and is never in a bad mood. He comes in everyday with a smile on his face that brightens up the office. He is constantly looking for ways to assist others without expecting anything in return. I have never heard Marco complain about any of the changes that have occurred throughout the year. Thank you Marco, for your positive disposition and caring ways. |
