Terry has been an employee of Addus for 3 years. During this period of time she has displayed a loyalty to Addus that goes way beyond her job description. The Milford office runs smoothly because of her organizational capabilities. Terry comes in early or stays late to complete all her work. She multi-tasks so easily that she stepped up to help when another employee went on FMLA. If there is a problem that needs to be fixed, then Terry does what needs to be done. She is a true asset to our office and to Addus.

Ora has been a home care nurse for a long time. She has been assigned to take care of a 3 year old client who is completely dependent. The client suffers from C.P., is hemiplegic, and is developmentally delayed. This child was living in an environment where the parents were not being responsible due to drug use. Ora realizing the situation stepped up and reported the situation to DCFS and was instrumental in helping place the child in the care of the grandparents. Today the child is thriving, growing and about to start preschool. Thanks to Ora’s alert observance and caring, this child has an improved life and a positive future.

 Lattice is a very compassionate and caring person who prides herself with making sure that her clients are well taken care of. She is always on time for work and follows all the Addus rules. We are lucky that Lattice practices the Addus mission of promoting “Health & Wellness”. One example of this is when she observed a client’s blood pressure was very high. She immediately followed our procedure and called for help and called the appropriate people to come in to take care of the client. The client was admitted to the hospital and successfully stabilized. We are very pleased to have such a dedicated employee working at our office.

Based on a touching letter received from a client, we would like to nominate Chase for employee of the month. Quoting the letter, “My Physical Therapist, Chase, has a way of encouraging me to want to succeed in reaching my goals. As a result I am beginning to walk with a cane for the first time in seven years. This has been a life changing experience! Chase should be commended for his knowledge of his profession, and for the patience and kindness he puts into his work. I will always be grateful to him for the time he spent with me”.
