We are very fortunate working with a wonderful team player like Caroline. Any time one of us needs help she is always ready and willing to jump in to help us. Caroline has organized our department so that all of us are better organized with our paper work. She is the first to help cover difficult clients, train new service coordinators sharing her knowledge, and offers to take the weekend phones when needed. Caroline deserves to be honored with this award.

Felicia Jackson, CNA, Home Health-Chicago South, IL #4241 – Nominated by Kathy Lindeman, RN-Private Duty Nurse Supervisor. Felicia has been working with a client undergoing extensive physical rehabilitation. The client’s leg was amputated last year. She has accompanied this man through therapy and practices his exercises with him daily. As a result he is stronger and more independent. The family has expressed their gratitude that Felicia does more than expected. She has contributed to his continued recovery and is an integral member of his rehabilitation team. The client has progressed because of Felicia’s tenacity. I am so glad she is on our Addus team!

Based on a touching letter received from two patients in the same household, Tim deserves to be Health and Wellness Employee of the Month. Quoting their letter, “Tim has given us the best care one could receive! He is professional and always searching for new information that will help our recovery. He is compassionate and respectful in his treatment. He cares for the whole patient, not just the physical part that needs healing. My recovery from ...was long and difficult. Tim helped me to get well every step of the way. And he has rejoiced with me in my success. Tim came into our home as the Home Health nurse...Today when he leaves after still caring for my husband, he leaves as our friend, the nurse.”
A short time after the patient had written this letter, her husband passed. Tim’s care and her subsequent recovery has allowed her to remain living in her home independently.

Beatrice is not only a wonderful PCA, but a great community leader. She fights for the rights of the clients and goes to great lengths to assist anyone in need. She is highly respected and regarded not only by her clients but everyone in our office. Always positive, adaptable to change and she makes everyone smile. Beatrice needs to be recognized for her drive, and her passion in supporting the needs of her community. We are glad that we have her as part of our team.
