It is with great pleasure that we nominate Janet for the National Employee of the Month award. She is a very dedicated, thorough, detail-oriented Service Coordinator. She never fails to cover her clients and she supports other Service Coordinators when they are needing coverage for their clients. A team player, who has great relationships with everyone in the office, we wish we had more employees like Janet.

Jennifer was worried about her client who seemed very drowsy and behaving unusual. It was the end of her shift and she felt uncomfortable leaving. She called Kathie after hours and relayed her concern about the client. Kathie contacted the physician who stated that we should send the client to the ER. It turned out that the client’s son visited earlier in the day and the client complained about pain. He placed a pain patch on the client not knowing that there already was a pain patch on the client. At the ER the diagnosis was overdose of pain medication that could have caused severe complications and or death. Had it not been for an astute and dedicated HCA and Care Coordinator this client was saved. This is a great example of care coordination at its best. Congratulations on a job well done!

Colleen and Felicia worked with a client who lost a leg in a work accident. The client was given a prosthesis but he would not use it. This caused the client to be depressed and unable to do anything without assistance. Both Colleen and Felicia persevered and reinforced his exercises daily. Cheerfully they challenged him to achieve his goals. Today the client is up every day able to walk with the prosthesis and is more independent needing less care. The client credits his recovery to “the girls” who showed great compassion in helping him every day.

Cathy has been with A Full Life since 2004 and has always been very reliable and hard working. Recently we received a letter from her client praising Cathy’s work. Quoting from the client’s letter, “Cathy is reliable, experienced, motivated and I appreciate that she does not have to be told what to do. She demonstrates a positive attitude and good work ethic. I feel safe when Cathy drives me to scheduled appointments and other events. This winter season has made driving more difficult. I am especially appreciative of her competence operating my car on icy streets. I am grateful for the time Cathy has spent with me.”
