  Customer Service Award
Theresa
Artley
Theresa Artley, Program Specialist, Chicago, IL Home Care & Community Services

Theresa has always been willing and eager to assist others. She had an appointment to visit a potential client to discuss the various services that Addus provides. The client expressed her own concern that her house was not in order because she had not had any assistance in some time as her current provider was no longer servicing her. Unfortunately this client was bed bound and had sores on her feet. The client was unable to get out of the bed and was forced to handle her personal care alone while in the bed using nearby trash cans to empty her bodily waste. The client asked Theresa if she could assist her in removing the toilet waste as it had been sitting for several days. Theresa realized that this client needed immediate help so she took it upon herself to empty the waste and cleaned several containers so that the client could have a more sanitary environment. Theresa was instrumental in getting the service changed to Addus and made referrals to our Home Health division to help this client. Theresa is truly a team player and her caring and kindness went a long way to give our clients relief and demonstrated the qualities that set Addus above other companies.

Marie
Fisher
Marie Fisher, Care Coordinator, Champaign, IL – Home Health Services

In the month of August, Marie was the top care coordinator. She consistently makes sure that we make our goals. We had a client not feeling well, so Marie did everything possible to take care of the client. She went so far as to follow the ambulance to the hospital and waited until the family met her and that everything was handled before departing. This is what I call true dedication to her job. I have witnessed this on more than one occasion with Marie. She has been conscientious with all of her clients making sure any changes are reported and taken care of. It is employees like Marie, who care about the well being of their clients that make Addus the good company it is today.

Damon
Hudson
Damon Hudson, Physical Therapy Assistant, CareNetwork, Rogers, AR – Home Health Services

Damon has demonstrated his willingness to help others by volunteering his personal time to assist one of his patient’s re-arrange a room full of furniture so that the patient’s lift chair was in an optimal position to maneuver his wheelchair around the room. Damon volunteered several hours and even vacuumed. Damon has brought his own equipment for the patients use. This past weekend, Damon found a bedside commode better suited for the patient, paid for it and delivered it to the patient’s home. The patient has stated, “There is nothing he won’t do. If he sees something that needs to be done or if you ask for his help, he makes it happen.” Damon goes far beyond his job responsibilities and should be commended.
