We received 21 nominations from all the Administrative Staff of the Riverside Office. This is the first time an entire office took the time to write and send individual nominations for one person. Bertha is loved by all her fellow peers that she works with daily and by the clients she cares for. She has worked for Addus for over 30 years and has always put her heart and soul into doing all she could for everyone she comes in contact with. The entire office had no problem submitting these nominations because everyone believes she deserves this award.

It takes a special person like Delores to be a Home Care Aide. She is always willing to help cover clients when another HCA is out. She goes the extra mile to make sure that the clients are happy, comfortable and safe by treating them as if they were her own family. Thank you Delores for your kindness and giving of yourself to those who are in need.

Sandra had been taking care of a quadriplegic client for 6 years until he moved out of state earlier this year. In all that time, Sandra is remembered for never missing a day of work. This past June, we received a new referral from the Hines V.A. Hospital. It was an elderly and disabled veteran. I thought of Sandra being the right person to send to take care of him. This veteran was very fragile and weak from Parkinson’s Disease and was dependent on others for his daily needs. There were doubts that this man could live alone in his old house. Sandra was not deterred. She coordinated the set up of a hospital bed and other supplies. She cooked him meals and assisted him walking outdoors regularly. She keeps his home clean and orderly. Takes him to his doctor’s appointments and takes him on errands. This man has made amazing progress. Sandra epitomizes our mission for health & wellness. Bravo Sandra.

Mary is devoted to her job as Home Care Aide. Her client’s are treated like they were her family. She takes the time to make sure she communicates to her Supervisor if there are any changes of health to any of her clients. Even if this means she does it on her own personal time. Mary does this to make sure that each client qualifies for community based services that they need. Thank you Mary for your good care of your clients.
