Bowen - Accounts Payable Specialist, Support Center Debbie stepped up and accepted greater responsibility within the Accounts Payable Department when the AP Supervisor was on maternity leave. Debbie didn’t stop there! While recruiting was underway for a new supervisor, she continued her valiant support of the department and led the temporary staff to achieve closing goals. She never missed a single AP close deadline during those months. She is truly committed to the support of the branches and her customers. |

Chaney – Health Care Aide, Champaign IL Home
Health. Shanta is a true asset to Addus HealthCare. She is very caring, compassionate, and takes great pride in caring for her clients in the Veteran’s Salute Program. One of her clients had been in and out of the hospital and nursing home after a recent illness. The client does not have any family that lives in the area, and Shanta has become the client’s family. She visited the client daily in the hospital and tended to all the client’s needs. At the time of discharge, Shanta transported the client back home and helped the client to get settled. Shanta will do whatever is needed at the office, from putting desks together to filing paperwork. She transports clients to doctor’s appointments in a moment’s notice. Shanta has a wonderful attitude and always has a smile on her face and is always ready to help. Thank you Shanta! |

Lana
Beach – Home Care Aide, Marion IL Private Duty. Lana has been a Home Care Aide with the branch since February of 2006. She has come to the rescue of this branch on numerous occasions. Marion Private Duty covers 34 counties, many of which are 2-3 hours away from the office. At times, it is difficult to staff clients who need services on a last-minute basis. We recently had a referral of a client who was suffering from a terminal illness, and the family needed someone to sit with him during the day, 7 days a week. This client lived in Fairview Heights, which is 2 hours away from our office. We had no available employees in that area that had the ability to cover that type of shift. Lana took on the care of this client. In a short period of time, she was in Fairview Heights and covering the shift for us. She provided the utmost quality of care in this client’s last few weeks of life. During this time without complaint, Lana stayed at her sister’s house which was nearby the client so that she would not have a commuting problem. This is the type of employee she is. She does what needs to be done and goes wherever we need her to go. Our clients simply love her. She is a shining star for Marion Private Duty. She gives a fabulous impression of the company to our clients and deserves to be recognized for her ongoing contributions to quality are of the elderly! |

Yard Worker, Libby MT.
We have a program in Libby called Asbestos Related Disease Network (ARD Net), and it is for victims of asbestos related diseases. ARD Net provides in-home care as well as yard work. Don was hired to provide yard work to our ARD Net clients, and when he was hired I don’t think he knew what a huge job he was undertaking. He alone has to service over 15 clients. He has never complained once, and always has a smile on his face. I have never received so many wonderful compliments about an employee as I have for Don. The Director of ARD Net has even called me personally to applaud Don on his hard work and caring attitude toward his clients. He is known to go above and beyond the call of duty, all to help out his clients. Don is a wonderful employee, and his work ethic is inspiring! |
